Introducing… Tracy Jarboe

What do you do at CareNotes? Customer Service Representative/Fulfillment Specialist in both Abbey Caskets and CareNotes.

How long have you worked for CareNotes/Saint Meinrad Archabbey? 2 years

What do you like most about your job? My favorite thing is interacting with the customers. I love helping and getting to know them.  But my favorite thing is what I learn from customers whether it is something about them or their town/state or a new outlook on life.  I seem to have at least one customer a day who thinks I helped them, but they really made my day instead.

What is your favorite CareNote? Our brand new CareNote ‘Responding to Life’s Challenges that are Out of Your Control’ by Sr. Diane is my favorite! I keep a copy on my desk! 

What is your favorite work memory? My favorite memory is about 2 weeks after I started working here my co-workers at Abbey Caskets and CareNotes surprised me with an ice cream party for my birthday!  I love ice cream so they knew they way to my heart from the beginning.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work? Hobbies? Spending time with my husband, our 3 daughters and our 2 dogs.  We love to go kayaking, hiking, hunting and spending time on the lake!  As long as we are outside, we are happy!

What three words would your friends use to describe you? Outgoing, funny and generous.

Do you have a go-to karaoke song? I can’t narrow it down to one song.  I have put some miles on karaoke nights back in the day.  Right now it’s pretty much any song that comes on in my car!  I have a solo-carpool karaoke every day on my commute.

It’s food day in the office – what’s your favorite dish to make? Pizza soup!

Do you have a favorite Scripture verse or quote? “Take the time everyday to be thankful for everything that you have.  You can always have more, but you could also have less.”

Name one thing that makes you unique. Probably my crazy sense of humor and goofy personality.
